Prayer for Wales

Prayer for Wales: Following the Footsteps of Rees Howells and Evan Roberts

Join us in prayer for a fresh Wales revival—crying out for awakening across Swansea, churches, and Welsh youth.

The hills of Wales have echoed with revival before—and we believe they will again. This land is steeped in stories of powerful outpourings of the Holy Spirit, from the Welsh revival of 1859 to the Evan Roberts-led awakening in 1904. The legacy of faith in Wales is alive, and we’re standing on those foundations to pray for a Wales spiritual awakening in our day.

Join us as we lift a powerful prayer for Wales in our newest Pray on Location episode. From Swansea, we cry out for another move of God—one that shakes hearts, ignites churches, and sends ripples of revival far beyond these shores.

Standing on a Legacy of Radical Faith

Wales has given us men and women whose prayers changed history. Rees Howells, a man of deep obedience and intercession, prayed through World War II with prophetic accuracy. Evan Roberts, just a young coal miner, sparked a movement that brought over 100,000 people to Christ in a matter of months. And George Müller, though not Welsh by birth, inspired generations through his faith-filled life, relying on God alone to care for thousands of orphans.

These were ordinary people with extraordinary surrender. And they remind us that revival doesn’t start with platforms or power—it starts with prayer.

Prayer Points: A Cry for the Welsh Nation

In the video, we pray for a new Wales revival movement, grounded in humility and hunger. Here are the key themes we invite you to agree with:

1. Faithful Leaders, Spirit-Led Churches

We bless Welsh leaders—pastors, teachers, and faithful elders who walk in the footsteps of Howells and Roberts. May their intimacy with the Holy Spirit shape a new era of vibrant, Spirit-filled churches.

2. Young People Set on Fire

We pray for the youth of Wales, that God would raise up a generation unashamed of the Gospel, bold in prayer, and hungry for truth. May schools become places of encounter, and homes become altars of revival.

3. Testimonies That Multiply

In the 1904 revival, it was the testimonies of everyday people that lit the spark. We ask for boldness for believers to share their stories—of healing, deliverance, and God’s faithfulness.

4. Revival in Every Corner

From the valleys to the cities, from small chapels to bustling university towns, we pray for revival in Wales—a movement of love, repentance, and power that touches every soul.

Swansea and the Wind of the Spirit

It’s no coincidence that we prayed from Swansea, a city with revival in its DNA. Rees Howells established the Bible College of Wales here, training intercessors to pray strategically and with faith. That spirit still lingers.

As we prayed, we sensed that the same wind of God that moved in 1859 and 1904 could sweep again. This is not just a history lesson—it’s a prophetic invitation.

“The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going…” — John 3:8

Let’s be ready.

Will You Stand With Wales?

This is more than a Christian prayer for Wales—it’s a call to every believer who longs for revival. Whether you have Welsh heritage or simply carry a burden for Europe, this is your invitation to pray bold, revival-shaped prayers.
