In this latest installment of our Pray on Location series, we lift up Southern California in prayer. Southern California is a land rich in spiritual history, where revival fires have burned brightly, and where God has moved mightily through the lives of His people. Today, we pray for a fresh wave of individuals who are fully committed to God, echoing the powerful movements that began here.
Southern California: A Land of Revival
This region has been home to some of the most influential spiritual movements in modern history. From the Azusa Street Revival, which sparked a global Pentecostal movement, to the impactful ministries of Billy Graham, Campus Crusade for Christ, Focus on the Family, and the Navigators—Southern California has been a birthplace of revival and spiritual transformation.
As we reflect on these great movements, we are reminded that God can do it again. And He can do even greater things. We believe that just as God raised up men and women during those times to be fully committed to His purpose, He can do the same today. Our prayer is that Southern California will once again become a place where people are set on fire for God’s kingdom.
Praying for Renewal and Revival
In this prayer, we ask God for a renewal of passion and devotion within the churches, ministries, and individuals across Southern California. We believe that God is calling people in this land to rise up and be fully committed to Him—wholehearted, unshaken, and ready to impact the world for Christ. As we pray, we are believing for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit, one that surpasses the revivals of the past and reaches into every corner of society.
Southern California has always been a land where God’s presence has moved in extraordinary ways. But today, the need for a spiritual awakening is as urgent as ever. We ask God to breathe new life into this region, igniting hearts with passion for His word, His will, and His purposes. Revival is not just a thing of the past—it can happen again, and we are praying for it to start in Southern California.
Believing for New Movements
Our prayer goes beyond Southern California. We are praying that from this region, new movements of God will arise and spread throughout the nation and the world. Southern California has been a place where many ministries were born, and we believe that God is raising up new ministries, new leaders, and new movements that will carry the light of the Gospel to the nations.
Through our journey across the U.S., we have been praying for each state, asking God for spiritual breakthrough and healing. Southern California holds a special place in this journey because of its rich spiritual legacy. We believe that God is calling His people to once again make this land fertile ground for His work. And we trust that as we lift up this prayer, God is already working in hearts, cities, and churches, bringing about His divine purposes.
