A Cry for Unity
In the heart of Eastern Europe lies a rich tapestry of cultures, languages, and nations—bound together by history, faith, and often, pain. From the Adriatic shores of Montenegro to the plains of Russia and Ukraine, the Slavic people have endured centuries of shifting borders, war, political upheaval, and deep religious traditions. Yet even amid brokenness, we believe God is writing a new story of healing, unity, and spiritual revival.
As part of the Pray on Location journey, we’ve walked through cities and villages where hope flickers like a candle in the wind. In our latest video, we offer a heartfelt intercessory prayer for the Slavic people, covering Southern, Western, and Eastern Slavic regions—including nations like Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Serbia, Bulgaria, Belarus, and the Czech Republic.
Why Pray for the Slavic Nations?
The Slavic world has contributed enormously to global culture, theology, and resistance against oppression. However, it also carries deep wounds—generational trauma from Communist regimes, ethnic conflict, religious division, and the ongoing tensions between Ukraine and Russia, Serbia and Kosovo, and other regions struggling for identity and peace.
This is why we pray—for Slavic unity, regional peacemaking, and spiritual awakening. We believe God is not finished with Eastern Europe. In fact, we believe He’s preparing the region for a powerful revival that will flow from the Balkans and Slavic countries into the nations.
Specific Prayers for Slavic Intercession
As we traveled and prayed, here are the key burdens we sensed from the Holy Spirit:
🙏 Healing from Division and War
We pray for reconciliation between Slavic brothers and sisters—across political, ethnic, and religious lines. May past wars and ideological divisions give way to Christ-centered unity.
🙏 Breaking Generational Trauma
From the weight of Communist atheism to religious persecution and political betrayal, the Slavic people have carried deep spiritual pain. We ask God to heal the soul of these nations and release them into peace and purpose.
🙏 Revival Among the Youth
There is a young generation rising—searching for truth beyond tradition. We pray for youth movements, filled with passion for Jesus, boldness in the gospel, and love for their neighbors.
🙏 Freedom from Religious Formalism
While many Slavic nations identify with Eastern Orthodoxy or Catholicism, we ask God to breathe fresh life into dormant faith. May personal relationship with Jesus replace empty religion. May hearts awaken to the Father’s love.
A Blessing for the Slavic People
“You are not forgotten. You are chosen. God sees your history and has not abandoned your future.”
In our prayer time, we declared blessing over Montenegro, Ukraine, Poland, Russia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Serbia, the Czech Republic, and beyond. These are more than just geographic regions—they are people made in the image of God, destined for glory and reconciliation.
We believe revival will not be limited by language or liturgy. It will pour through Orthodox monasteries, Catholic cathedrals, and Protestant prayer rooms. It will come to villages and capital cities. It will unify Slavic nations under one name—Jesus.
