In the heart of the Baltics lies a nation that has endured centuries of struggle, yet remains deeply resilient—Lithuania. Once the largest country in Europe, Lithuania has faced war, occupation, and cultural oppression. But through it all, something beautiful has remained: a people full of hope and courage.
We traveled to Vilnius, Lithuania’s capital, with one purpose: to pray for God’s light to shine again in this land. As part of the Pray on Location revival movement, we are calling forth spiritual renewal across Europe, and we believe Lithuania holds a key place in that mission.
Standing on History, Declaring the Future
Our journey led us along the path of the historic Baltic Way—a 1989 demonstration where 2 million people from Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia stood hand-in-hand for freedom from Soviet control. It was peaceful, powerful, and prophetic.
As we stood where that moment of unity unfolded, we sensed the Lord stirring a new movement—not just of political freedom, but of spiritual freedom. This is a time for Christian prayer in Vilnius, a time to declare a fresh wave of hope, truth, and love across the Baltic countries.
We proclaimed Psalm 33 over the land:
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance.”
This Psalm 33 prayer for Lithuania is more than a verse—it’s a declaration of destiny. May Lithuania’s inheritance now include a new era of worship, revival, and national transformation.
A New Song from the Baltics
In our prayer, we asked the Lord to release a Baltic prayer movement—a wave of intercession and worship that would flow through every street, home, and church. Though Lithuania is often perceived as religiously traditional or culturally cautious, we believe revival is stirring.
We prayed for:
- A spiritual revival in Lithuania that draws people back to Jesus
- A release of joy and creativity in Lithuania worship and prayer
- New Christian communities in Vilnius to rise in strength and unity
- Healing from generational trauma and war
- Revival to overflow into Latvia, Estonia, and Poland, forming a fire line of faith across the Baltic Sea
We declared that Lithuania’s spiritual silence would be broken by songs of joy. That the artistic heritage of this land would express faith in Jesus. That families, young adults, and even government leaders would hear the Lord calling them by name.
