In our newest Pray on Location journey, we walked through the heart of Dublin, lifting up a powerful prayer for Ireland—a prayer for restoration, healing, and revival.
As we stood among cathedrals that once rang with worship—some now museums, some cafes—we felt the cry of a nation ready for renewal. The Irish people are known worldwide for their kindness, wit, and courage. We believe that same character is a spiritual gift meant to impact not only this island but the world.
A Spiritual History That Still Speaks
Ireland’s Christian heritage is deep and wide. St. Patrick’s legacy set off waves of mission and monastic movements that preserved truth through dark ages. Monks on rocky cliffs copied Scriptures and shaped culture. Even amid Viking raids and colonial hardship, the Irish faith endured.
But like many nations, modern Ireland has seen a steep decline in active faith. Church attendance has dropped, many places of worship are now empty or repurposed, and wounds from the past have left scars on the national heart. Yet, hope remains.
We believe this is not the end of Ireland’s spiritual story—it’s the beginning of a new Ireland spiritual awakening.
