In the quiet hills of Herrnhut, Germany, something world-changing once began. Nearly 300 years ago, Count Nicolaus Zinzendorf welcomed a group of persecuted believers into his estate. They were Moravians—humble, devoted, and hungry for God. What followed was one of the most significant moves of God in Christian history: a prayer meeting that lasted 100 years, 24/7.
From this hidden place in Saxony, the Moravian revival was born. It wasn’t just a local spiritual awakening—it was a global prayer revival that sent out missionaries to places unreached, inspired men like William Carey and John Wesley, and laid the foundation for what many now see as the modern missions movement.
We went to visit that same soil in Herrnhut, hearts burning, voices lifted, asking God to do it again in Germany—a nation rich in Christian heritage but in need of fresh spiritual fire.
From the Ashes of History to the Flames of Renewal
In this video from our Pray on Location journey across Europe, we stood where the Moravians once knelt, and we cried out for revival in Germany. We prayed for a new generation of believers to arise—those dead to sin but alive to God, who carry the same DNA of prayer, humility, and passion for Jesus that characterized the Moravians.
We believe Germany’s role in the coming Jesus movement in Europe is critical. In a time of increasing secularism, identity confusion, and spiritual apathy, Germany’s spiritual awakening could ignite another wave of passionate Christianity across the continent.
We declared boldness over the Church, unity among believers, and a renewed commitment to missions—not out of duty, but from love. We prayed for the Moravian’s legacy to find its way into the hearts of today’s youth, pastors, and worshipers. And we asked for the fire of 24/7 prayer to be rekindled—not just in one place, but across cities, homes, and hearts.

We believe that Germany is a gate—a spiritual gateway in Europe. Just as it influenced history through philosophy, theology, and politics, so it can once again lead—this time, in prayer, in purity, and in spiritual strength.
The Moravian missionaries didn’t see their calling as optional. They said, “May the Lamb who was slain receive the reward of His suffering,” and they gave everything for His glory. We believe God is calling Germany—and you—to the same radical love.
