The Pray on Location Family

Love God

God’s goodness has overflowed onto us, so we love Him and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit the best we can.

Serve Others

God loves everyone He has created, and one way that we love Him is by serving those that He loves.

Pray for the Nations

God wants the nations to be a protection and source of supply for the people. We pray that the nations look to God for wisdom.

Spur Others On

We have an enemy who wants to discourage us from following God. But we want to encourage others in their pursuit of God.

SOME INSIGHTS

When we recently started Pray On Location, we needed to find a logo that signified our journey as well as our mission. When we prayed about what it should be, Kevin felt like it should be a bird. And in one of our previous prayer times, Allison knew that water was very important for our trip.

Elizabeth Thought About a Grebe

Still, there are roughly around 2,500 to 3,000 recognized species of water-dwelling birds globally. But as Elizabeth was praying, she remembered a bird which dances on the water that  she learned about in a documentary. After a bit of research, we learned it was called a grebe. The more we looked into grebes, we realized why God chose that bird specifically.

Three Reasons for a Grebe

We have a few reasons for choosing the grebe as our logo. One of them is because grebes work together. Both parent grebes will incubate the eggs and construct the nest together. We want our journey to be a partnership with God.

Another reason we chose the grebe is that after hatching, the young leave their floating nest and spend their time on their parents’ backs. They climb on the mother’s back to protect them from predators and to regulate their body temperatures. During this journey, we are leaving the nest and letting God lead us wherever he wants to take us.

The last reason is that grebes do a courtship dance on the water to signify their mate. It’s a beautiful display, and once it happens, the grebes stay together for the mating season or longer. We don’t want just to say we are working with God; we want our actions to reflect that God is working with us.

Thank You for Your Partnership

The grebe is a reminder to us of our mission to work in partnership with God. As we go on this journey, we’re excited for you all to join us. Thank you for your support and partnership along the way!

What Organization are We With?

Many people ask us our sending agency. We are not affiliated with any organization. We gladly come alongside any Christian organization wanting to pray for the nations. Our desire is for the body of Christ to be mobilized to advance God’s kingdom.

With that said, we know that people are hesitant about people on the own without accountability. We have created a team of advisors that know our directions, are praying for us, and are a sounding board for what we feel God is wanting for us to do. This board is made of a pastor, former pastor, intercessors, and friends.

For more details, we created a simple statement of beliefs to help you know our perspective on how we approach this calling…

What Do We Believe?
  • We believe in Jesus as the only way to God.
  • We believe God answers prayer because He loves to interact with His children.
  • We believe that the Bible is perfect and we look to it for life.
  • We believe it’s our role to help others love Jesus more.
  • We believe God created us to have relationship with Him and He loves to speak to us.
  • We believe God loves every person He created, and it would be wise if we did too.
  • We believe the Holy Spirit is in each believer and He reminds us and empowers us to live the abundant life.
  • We believe if people don’t want God (choosing not to receive Jesus) they are choosing eternity without Him.
  • We believe heaven is a real place and it is part of the reward for those that trust Jesus.
